Hi folks! Cakes don’t have to be fancy. In fact they can be plain Jane. Sometimes it’s what you put on them that dolls them up to look like a dream and taste just as mouth-watering. So I’ll let you dream about your toppings while I give you a Plain Jane Paleo Cake you can be proud to support all that numminess on top.
Plain Jane Paleo Cake

Your basic paleo cake! That's it. No frills, no nothing. And sometimes don't you just want something plain Jane. Now, the kids are a different story. Try coconut icecream on top with a few little sprinkles to jazz things up. Enjoy.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 1 T arrowroot starch
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- 2 T xylitol or coconut sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 medium eggs at room temperature
- 1.5 T lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 2 T sunflower seed butter or any nut butter other than peanut
- 1 small banana, mashed
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat oven to 350
- Step 2 Grease a square baking pan
- Step 3 Mix all dry ingredients together
- Step 4 Mix all wet ingredients together in a separate bowl
- Step 5 Add wet ingredients to dry and mix till barely blended
- Step 6 Pour into pan
- Step 7 Place in oven and cook for 30 minutes
- Step 8 Remove and cool
- Step 9 Serve with Love and Enjoy!
